Use Nikon LS-40 / LS-50 / LS-5000 Scanners on Win 7 64-bit!

Ok today I found a very nice blogpost of Axel Rietschin (http://axelriet.blogspot.com/)
how to use the Nikon Coolscan IV, V and LS5000 on Windows 7 64Bit!

Since I´m using Windows 7 64Bit I had to use the (thanks to Microsoft) solution over the “Virtual Windows XP” and scan from there!

And since Nikon doesnt seem to be able to support the 64Bit with drivers there was no other way to use my Nikon Coolscan IV.

(Windows 7 is out since 22.10.09 and NIKON still have no drivers for it! Great support!)

Anyway today I found this blog with an easy(working) solution to use those scanners with Windows 7 64Bit!

Installation is also explained there! (turn on the scanner, got to device manager (gerätemanager) search for the scanner (a yellow (!) will be next to it, right click “update drivers” (treiber aktualisieren), browse my computer for driver software (treiberpfad manuell angeben), then next, install, FINISH!)
